The Senses:
-The colorful toys hang from the arch at the optimal distance (10 inches or 25 cm.) to offer enticing visual, auditory and tactile stimulation.
Gross Motor Skills:
-When baby extends his hand and makes the toys move, this encourages him to do it again, strengthening his arm muscles.
Fine Motor Skills:
-The hanging toys invite baby to reach out and strike or grasp, first by chance and later intentionally as control over his arm and hand improves.
Cognition:
-As baby learns that his actions cause the toys to swing, he is internalizing the concept of cause and effect.
