Enhances vision and fine motor skills. Colorful toys hang from the arch at the optimal distance for visual and tactile stimulation, inviting baby to reach out and strike or grasp.
Develops baby's gross motor skills. When baby extends his hand and makes the toys move, this encourages him to do it again, strengthening his arm muscles.
Contributes to cognitive development. As baby learns that her actions cause the toys to swing, she is internalizing the concept of cause and effect.
In order to develop their visual focus, babies at this age need visual stimulation and movement placed at the optimal distance from their eyes –- 8-12 inches (20-30 cm).
The Take-Along Arch's three toys all swing when the stroller moves, offering inviting visual stimulation for baby to gaze at.
The Take-Along Arch™ offers an excellent opportunity to develop eye-hand coordination, as baby reaches out and learns to touch the toys directly.
First by chance, then by the end of the fourth month, on purpose, as baby strikes the toy and causes it to sway.
In the fourth month, baby enjoys holding the toys, bringing them to his mouth for further exploration – developing his sense of touch.
With his well-developed senses and control, baby can now reach out and strike the toy, hold it and pull it to further explore it with is mouth. Making the toy swing helps him learn the concept of cause and effect.
